New Year, New Nightengale!

Wow! What a year... filled with so many first, laughs, blessings, travels, lessons learned, challenges, happy tears, a few sad tears, and memories that I pray will last a lifetime!

Twenty Seventeen was so good to us! We sold our first home we built as a family, we bought a beautiful piece of property and now are currently building the home where we will raise our children, we welcomed our newest Nightengale Bryton, Swade's company has continued to grow, and my career is in it's prime. I truly praise God everyday for every single thing we have!  All thanks and glory to Him!

As we take on this new adventure and welcome this new year my resolution is to be present in every moment! What does that even mean...? Well, life it literally happens so fast... too fast honestly, like a blink! People always say this, and I never really put much thought into it until I became a Mommy. I want to slow down and truly enjoy the moments I have with my precious family, moments with my friends, my clients who I pour myself into, the moments I get to inspire or change the lives of those around me, the moments that nearly break me because then they pull me closer to the Lord, and that is when I'm the strongest, moments in which I am humbled, moments I laugh until I cry... I want to cherish them all because I know I will never get them back!

 Look at this sweet little baby girl of ours! Miss Bryton arrived May 25, 2017. She is absolutely beautiful in every way and totally stole our hearts. Saylor has been in awe since the moment they first met. She is the best "Big Sister" helper and loves her dearly. It's a dream come true to watch the two of them together. Motherhood is such a blessing, I am cherishing every moment spent at home with my girls! Thank you Lord for this precious gift from above!!!

Naughty or Nice !?!?

I've made my list and I've checked it twice! I have created a list of the hottest skincare products to let you all know which are the best of the best "Nice", and which products definitely disappoint "Naughty" !!

 
Who's been "Nice"...

1. GM Collin Diamond Radiance Cream and Serum: This amazing skincare cream and serum has taken the cake! It is no doubt my favorite Anti-aging moisturizer. Hence the name "Diamond Radiance" the cream and serum both have actual diamonds in them! Yes, thats right crushed diamond powder for brightening, highlighting, and the most elite anti-aging. Packed with antioxidants, peptides, and phyto-stem cells, your skin will be left feeling smooth, super hydrated and radiant! 

2. SkinMedica Lytera: This treatment serum has and will continue to be one of my "must haves", can not live with out products ever! I am in love with everything about it! Your skin will be completely lightened and brightened after just two weeks of use. You will be amazed by the transformation of your skin. Get ready for a youthful glow that last!

3. Decleor 3 in 1 Cleansing Mousse: I have found nothing like it. There are so many cleansers out there, but this my friends is great for deep cleansing while keep your skin hydrated and smooth. You first apply dry, the cream goes on thick breaking down surface makeup, oils, and build up! Add water to lather and deep clean. The cleanser becomes super foamy, leaving your face squeaky clean and smooth!

4. Kate Somerville Exfolikate: If you are wanting a deep clean, thorough exfoliant to brighten your skin and refine your pores... your in luck with KATE! This exfoliant is like a mini facial in a jar!

5. Kneipp Eucalyptus Bath Salts: Pure relaxation meets the ultimate therapeutic benefit! Bath time is one of my favorites, these salts take the bath game to a whole other level. Invigorating and refreshing, leaving you majorly rejuvinated!!! 

6. Dr. Dennis Gross 14day Peel: This is a safe and effective at home peel kit that truly works! I have used this product for sometime now and it never fails! If your skin feels dull, rough, congested, oily, and needs a major skincare boost... Dr. Dennis Gross to the rescue! The AHA and frolic acid is just what you need.

7. Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar Scrub: Oh my heavens... love love love! I can't say enough great things about this scrub. You can say I'm a "scrubaholic". I have tried so many and this is hands down an all time fav! What I love most is it FOAMS! Polish, cleanse, hydrate, and smooth your skin while smelling super delicious.

8. Results RX Eye Dr: I'm constantly asked what is the best Eye Cream? Well here you have it folks! Eye Dr. is just that! Using Vitamin A to tighten, firm and brighten the eyes. It is hydrating and helps to plump sagging eyes.

9. Maëlle Above and Beyond Mascara: An ongoing competition for me. Mascara is always a product I'm searching for! This mascara is currently my FAV!! Its lengthening, strengthening and thickening! I simply love it because it works oh so well!

10. Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss: Another product I can't live with out! This gloss is the bomb! Period. Love it and its long wearing ability. Not to mention the amazing scents and color variety!  

 
Who's been "Naughty"...

1. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser: Please stop using this! I see it all the time, it is not deep cleaning your pores, it is leaving a  nasty film all over your skin! Trust me it's your aesthetician's worst nightmare. It doesn't help with your acne, it doesn't remove your make-up, and surprisingly it's not cleaning your skin! 

2. Clinique Repairwear Anti-Gravity Eye Cream: Well sorry to disappoint but your eyes need more than this! Sorry all you clinique lovers, but this is just not cutting it!

3. Olay Age-defying Moisturizer: No! No! No! This is yuck! Full of toxins and parabens. Love your skin more than this please! This is not your miracle in a jar, I promise!

4. Bath and Body Works Sugar Scrubs: Ladies these products are full of alcohol, mineral oils, perfumes, plastics, dyes, and glycerin. Not the best of the best in skincare! 

5. Covergirl Katy Perry Mascara: Just a mascara with a super famous singer reppin' the line! Lots of hype, not worth the attention.

6. Garnier Makeup Removing Wipes: THIS IS NOT A FACE WASH! Ok, seriously stop with the "I wash my face with wipes"! Think of it this way ... What if we only took a shower using baby wipes and never using actual soap and water? Yeah, gross right! Thank you. enough said!

7. St. Ives Apricot Scrub: Noooooo! Just No! Makes tiny lacerations on your skin, it is damaging your skin, and is often over used.  

8. ProActive: This does not work, the infomercials are nonsense! This is super drying, and totally ruins your skin's PH.

BEAUTY "Must Haves" that won't break the BANK!

I'm that girl that has to run into Target, Walmart or Walgreens for one teeny thing like milk, and seriously ends up with a basket full!  Ok, thats not so bad... because of my guilty little habit I can now share with you all the most amazing beauty products that are out there and super inexpensive! As your aesthetician I promise to only give you tips, tricks, and advice on only what I do, use, or love! So, here are a few fabulous finds that are pretty AWESOME!

FACE:

1. Maybelline "FIT Me!" Foundation- This foundation is super smooth, beautiful coverage, even and matte! If you are a oily gal like me you will love this. It doesn't clog your pores, wears nice all day and truly stays matte. 

2. Maybelline "Dream Liquid Mousse" Airbrush Finish Foundation- Want a nice creamy foundation that covers well, adds a dewy glow and is great if you are a dryer skin type? This is perfect! This foundation doesn't look "cakey" goes on nice and smooth.

3. NYX "HD" Concealer- I have been a fan of NYX for sometime now, they have inexpensive products that truly work! I especially love their concealers. This one in particularly  is great for brightening dark eyes! 

4. NYX "Wonderstick"- Another amazing find! If you like to contour and hightlight this makes it super easy! I use with moist beauty blender.

5. Hard Candy "Glow All the Way" Luminizer- This my friends is gorgeous! I love how it wears under make-up for a "glowy" skin look or even on top to really highlight your features. I like to put on my eyes, under my eyes, forehead and cheeks.

EYES:

1. NYC "High Defintion" Liquid Eyeliner- What a great liner! I buy the extra black it's amazing and oh my gosh says put! What I love about this liner is the fact that it's crazy easy to apply it's basically like drawing with a fine point marker! You want that sexy cat eye?!? ... "TaDa" done!

2. Jordana "Best Lash Extreme" Mascara- I have raved about this one before so you guys know I love it! It's $2.99 really!! 

3. Physicians Formula "Lash Extension" Mascara- I use this bad boy when I want that extra "vavoom" in my lashes! This work girls I promise! 

BODY:

1. Sally Hansen "Airbrush Legs" Makeup- If you've never used this um... what's wrong with you?!? LOL... teasing! But, seriously it's grrrreat with a capital G! I use it anytime I want my legs or arms to look flawless, tan and radiant! It will give you an instant tan, is water resistant and covers any imperfections!

2. Hard Candy "Glow All the Way" Luminizer- Yes, yes same one I love for my face I also use on my body, like arms and chest when I want that perfect skin looking luminous glow!

3. The Bathery "Let's SPA" Body Gloves- Ok, when you start putting make-up or any sunless tanner product on the body you certainly have to have a way to really get it off, and out of your pores! These body gloves are perfect for just that! I use weekly or sometimes twice a week to polish and exfoliate my body. You can use with any body wash, soap or scrub! Love, Love, Love the way these clean and make me feel smooth!

HAIR:

1. Not Your Mothers "Clean Freak" Dry Shampoo- Let me be real with you, I only wash my hair like two times a week! It's actually great for your hair and because I'm so blonde it really helps to keep my hair hydrated. I love to use dry shampoo in between washes. This dry shampoo is super effective, gives me great volume, smells good and is like $5 bucks. Enough said!

2. HASK "Coconut Oil" & "Argan Oil" Deep Conditioning Hair Mask- I am crazy obsessed with hair mask! I try to do one atlas once or twice a month. HASK are amazing, conditioning, super shiny and soft! Your hair will feel like a million bucks!

3. OGX "Argan Oil of Morocco" Weightless Healing Dry Oil- One of my favorite hair products I've ever used hands down! I spray this on my hair once it's styled and hairsprayed in place. It gives you amazing shine and smells delicious! Anytime someone hugs me and I have this on they're like "oh my gosh, you smell so good!" Yep it's this hair oil! Super love this one!

4. John Frieda "Beach Blonde" Sea Waves Salt Spray- You don't have to be "Blonde" to use or love this product! I use this a lot actually mostly in the summer because it gives you that instant "beach hair" wave. Any hair color, texture or style can use this! I apply to my hair when it's damp or dry. This product also smells soooo good!

SKINCARE:

1. Honest "3 in 1" Facial Cleansing Wipes- I love these wipes for make-up removal especially the eyes! Now, this is not my face wash! You still need to wash your face but these are a great way to remove all that make-up and speed up the process. They are 100% natural, the cloth is so soft and feels great on your skin.

2. Badger Balm "Highland Mint" Lip and Body Balm- I found this amazing balm at Central Market and have been in love ever since! I use this on my lips, cuticles, and any dry chapped area, like elbows or knees.

3. Que Bella "Bath and Beauty" Mask- I just started trying these out with my mom. We like to have "Spa" nights at home ... who doesn't? Right! They have a large variety of facial and body mask that really make a difference! My faves are "Purify", "Pore Minimizing" and "Skin Brightening." I love them because they use natural ingrediants like T-tree, Witch Hazel and Papya (to name a few) that leave your skin feeling fresh and rejuvinated!

4. Burts Bees "Citrus Facial Scrub"- An awesome way to polish your skin, removed dead skin cells and feel baby smooth! 

Hot Pink. HUNTER. Obsessed.

Rain, Shine, Snow or Mud Puddles... we are covered! Hunter is our go to all weather wellie! How amazing are these "Mommy and Me" matching pair?? Seriously, I screamed of excitement when I saw the hot pink. I was even more thrilled when I saw them in mini me size! Saylor and I had a blast shooting, I think it's so special to capture these precious mom and daughter moments, because I'm sure one day my sweet little toddler will turn into a teenager and you know it may not be so "cool" to match mom! Baby it's Cold Outside!!!

Sharing outfit details from our lovely snow shoot! So many of you have asked where my shimmering sequin tights, fabulous fur vest, and boots are from... so here you go! We pack up and head to our cabin every Christmas, this year it was a little interesting. I had to not only pack our family's snow clothes, snowboard gear, Saylors toys, clothing and bedding, but Momma had to get photoshoot ready! Well... we know that was like a mini closet lol! Needless to say Swade was in shock of the luggage our teeny little family of three, looked like a dozen! "What?? Snow clothes are puffy I told him!!"
